Domes at Catskills is a lakefront glamping adventure for adults (16 and older). This natural wooded environment on the shores of a pristine lake in the heart of the Catskill mountains, is just 90 minutes from NYC (GWB). Our geodesic dome combines the best parts of camping, along with the amenities of a 5 star hotel, all while relaxing in a serene forest.

Sustainability

In addition to providing luxury accommodations, we are committed to a clean and healthy environment. We use only Attitude products for hair, body and bath products. Attitude uses only clean naturally-sourced ingredients, are vegan and cruelty-free, as well as dermatologically tested. All products are EWG VERIFIED (Environmental Working Group). We replenish our products from larger eco-friendly refills. Bar soaps are donated after guest use to shelters and others in need.

Guest Access

Registered guests have full access to their dome, and the common areas of the remainder of the 22 acre lakefront property. Walking trails, lounge and Adirondack chairs throughout the resort. All dome guests must be at 16 years old or older.

About the lake

The lake is man-made and created in 1894 by damming the tributary river, creating a pristine 333 acre lake. Originally called Stevensville, the name was changed to Swan Lake after Alden S. Swan purchased the lake, several hotels and a casino in 1895.

About the property

The 22 acre wooded property is carefully designed to provided maximum relaxation to guests. The domes are spaced apart, and cars are not allowed on the property other than the designated parking lot in order to ensure a serene and quiet environment. The 1,000 feet of shoreline on Swan Lake is available to all guests looking to relax by the water, read a book, or do some "remote" work using the powerful WIFI throughout the property.

About the host

Jerry M. Feeney created the Domes at Catskills as a unique accommodation giving guests the "experience" of camping while also enjoying the amenities of a 5 star hotel. "I hated camping as a kid. Sleeping in a tent on the cold ground was just not for me. But I loved the outdoors and always dreamed of creating a resort that combined all the best parts of camping without the downside." A NYC real estate lawyer for many years, Jerry is enjoying this next chapter in the hospitality arena. A super host for several years on Airbnb, guests are sure to enjoy his keen eye and attention to detail, as well as his natural interior design talents.

Safety info

All domes are equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Guests have the ability to securely lock the domes during their stay. All domes are equipped with fire extinguishers.

Guests should be aware that wildlife is present and precaution should be taken to avoid interacting with animals in their natural wild habitat. Garbage must be secured in provided receptacles as hungry bears will make a meal of any leftover food item and they have no trouble getting into plastic bags.

All dogs must be leashed when outside of dome and owners must pick up after their pets.
